CC, Moni G and PaulOS have been lunching together again after some time now, but have not had the opportunity to Blog lately,

So PauLOS has decided to Blog Again..

Today we makan-ed at a new place. We had Subway Half Footlong Sandwiches at Jaya 33.
CC was there for some official business at Nogami Japanese food, but we decided not to eat there because

2. Price a bit on the high side
3. PaulOS dun like Japanese food.. anything else Japanese is good :D

CC had the Subway Melt
PaulOS the Chicken Teriyaki (Toasted)
Moni G the ... can't remember now

The sandwiches were excellent,

Lunch Partners Revived

T'was a great lunch we had today.. and up came this blog-versation idea.. a blog conversation.. we're supposed to write from our perspective about what happened, our views and our thoughts..

The Pre Lunch Preparations:

Paul0S : Lunch plans started easily enough when CC initiated Lunch plans for today.. saying that since it was my last day.. we should go to somewhere I liked. Choosing a place was not easy.. because we had each gone to different places individually over the past 2 weeks. A&w, McDonald's, Khasiat Cafe and pork filled places were out of the question.. in the end we decided to go to the Malay food place in Damansara Kim.. where we LunchPartners Corp was formed...

The Lunch Proceedings :

Paul0S : We arrived at destination and Lo and Behold.. the fav foodie place was closed.. so we opted for another foodie stall at the end of the block. We each ordered our foodie of choice.. Food was so-so and slightly above average price.. And we got down to noshing our food down. And we talked and talked. about work, and then an interesting topic came up.. Dating.. When is a date .. a date ? and when is it just hanging out? ... .over to you CC... :D

Ariel aka CC : Right, thanks for passing on the juicy part of the post to me, PaulOS. Well, that question came up because something which I thought was just hanging out turned out to be a date and I felt really conned. Like being ripped off, y'know? It was a last minute thing (dates are normally planned out in advance, no?), he invited himself to my activity, we were having dinner and suddenly he went all mushy and stuff. Totally unexpected (I nearly choked on my meal) and I wondered if there was a way I could have done it differently.

Do people need to spell out clearly if what they doing is classified as 'hanging out' or 'a date'? Or do they just go with the flow and if the other party doesn't respond favourably, to take a gracious step back and still salvage the friendship somehow?

Oh about lunch, my salted fish fried rice wasn't that great. I'll give it a 2/5. Over to you, PaulOS or Moni G to share your gold ingots of thoughts.

Hehehe.

Cable-D

I just had lunch yesterday at dis place at Jaya Supermarket Sec 14.. Cable Car
It was a farewell lunch for me as I am leaving my current job. 11 of us went there and we were immediately seated.

We immediately sat down and looked at the Menus and Set Lunch menus
All of us were enticed with the set lunch menu :
1. Soup Do Jour - Onion soup
2. Roasted Chicken or Beef with Rice
3. Dessert - Green Bean Soup
4. Coffee orTea

10 of us chose to get the Roasted Chicken and what did we get.. some soggy-sorry-for-an-excuse-roasted chicken...
Onion Soup was so so
Dessert - Bleah
Coffee- bland

But i must say that a few times when I was there before.. what tasted ok was
Local dishes: Chicken curry & rice, Char koay teow, Cantonese mee. Indian Mee
Western dishes : Chicken cordon bleu

So be forwarned choose the safe foodies.. Set Lunches are a rip-off..

Taste : 2 - Thank God the French Fries were OK
Value for Money : 2.5
Ambience : 3.5
Service : 3 (Old curtains.. but cool place)
Parking : 3 (At the MBPJ parking not Jaya Supermarket)

So the verdict is 2.8

This is the only picture I got from the trip was when we were in the car..

Coincidences, Conversations & Good Food

Today, Lunch Partners Moni G and PaulOS along with another of Moni's colleagues, planned to go to Sec 17 for lunch.

I have been so busy that I didn't really find the time to arrange for lunch with Coolcat..

So I picked up the 2 ladies and proceeded to go for our pre-agreed Chicken Rice at Sec17, problem is.. I think I forgot where it exactly was, so as i drove around that area... I spied a curious word... Khasiat Cafe, and I exclaimed to both my passengers, "Khasiat Cafe!!", they looked at me incredibulously.. then Moni G, almost immediately remembered that this was the Khasiat Cafe Coolcat had blogged about.. so we changed our minds about having chicken rice. We were also quite hungry and a parking spot presented itself almost immediately, as if we were predestined to have lunch at Khasiat cafe.

We took pictures of the food and hope to post it later..

Here's my rating for the place.. will wait for Moni G to rate it too

I had Pork Rib Rice

Taste : 4.5 /5 - Could've tasted better, but I guess they'd have to put MSG,
Value for Money : 5/5 - RM5 for a sizzling hot plate, meat and fried egg.
Ambience : 3/5 - Not hot at all
Service : 3/5 - Waiter couldn't present things well, but it is after all a coffee shop.
Parking : 4.5/5 - easy parking, even though it was a bit tight

Moni G had Chicken Sweet Sour on Sizzling Hot Plate

Taste :
Value for Money :
Ambience :
Service :
Parking :

Other colleague, BL, decided to have Chicken rice... no comments.. i think

Coolcat had food not too far away from us, at the Food Foundry, so close yet so far.. We've all been busy with our own things..

Moni G, BL and I had a good laugh over lunch, about an obscure ex-colleague calling Moni G up, for the most frivilous and unrelated reasons.. BL and I, told her, he was out to fish her.. :)

Food does indeed loosen the tongue and make good conversation.. ahhh.. another satisfactory lunch :D

*Next episode : Buka Puasa (Hopefully)*

Food Foundry... Again

Went to Food Foundry today and finally had the Chicken Cordon Bleu that I was dying to eat nearly month ago.

It was ok lar. I'd give it a 3.5/5. Factor in the fact that I was famished by then, it really wasn't outstanding. Famished stomachs are supposed to make food taste better mar.

Left my camera in my knapsack, so no pics today :P

I am on MC today so lunch has to be at home. Mum brought back some leftovers from catering and that was what i had today. Mutton gravy, chicken gravy and fried cabbage. Food is moderate.
